Geomorphology #1
Transmission art festival, biennale Athens
April 2016
Duration: 3: 30 hours
Materials: Artist's body, clay, water,
The performance Geomorphology is a series of performances, which I have already performed in festivals.
in the actions, I explore the limits of my body and the natural materials such as mud, water, clay etc.
I try to transform myself by using the natural materials. I am blended in with in order to change my external appearance. I stand in the middle and in front of me, there is a column of clay. I start to touch the column of clay slowly and as a result, my fingerprint gets imprinted on the clay, afterwards, I continue the action with my whole body. I leave a part of my body to be imprinted on the clay. During the action my body and the clay are being transformed, again and again, sometimes my body forms the clay and it takes irregular shapes and sometimes the clay covers my body and gives it a different external appearance
